The Longest Night of Museums Megastream
We’re very proud to announce the return of the Longest Night of Museums for its third consecutive year! This time, we’re returning to an international megastream format that will take you on a live virtual tour of maritime museums around the world. And, of course, you can also expect a multitude of interactive activities, historical discussion panels, and unique giveaways!
What is the Longest Night of Museums?
This event began in 2021 as a way to celebrate International Museums Day during the pandemic by providing an innovative way of experiencing museums from our own homes. The event was so well received that we repeated it in 2022 with a series of informative articles and even more rewards.
The stream will be hosted on the official World of Warships Twitch channel, starting on May 18 3:00 AM PT, and will span 2 days and several continents. The broadcast will pass from region to region and from museum to museum as we experience exclusive virtual tours conducted by museum staff.
Interspersed between our museum visits, we’ll also be hosting a variety of fun activities:
- Discussion panels
- Q&As with special guests, including the award-winning film director of the documentary “Surrender on the Missouri” – Tim Gray
- Interactive quizzes with in-game prizes
- A giveaway of 10 US Naval History Special Editions sponsored by the United States Naval Institute
