Practice Makes Perfect: Training Mode

Training Mode has arrived—prepare for practice battles! Let's take a look at the feature and answer some questions. 

To enter Training Mode, navigate to the "Play" section of the new Main Menu and find the Training tab.

As of now, there are several settings that can be altered while you prepare for battle. First, you have to select a ship to helm and assign a Commander to her, if needed. Make sure to choose wisely, though: you can't change your choice once you start setting up your Room. After you’ve selected a ship and Commander, you'll be able to join an existing Training Room or create your own.

Creating a Room involves the following steps:

• Choosing one of 30 maps—from Archipelago to Riposte, all of them are here!
• Choosing the scenario—the list includes Capture the Base, Domination, and Epicenter, with each maps providing access to one or two scenario options.
• Choosing the battle duration: 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, or 15 minutes.
  Your room is created!
• After that, you'll be able to add bots, if desired. You can also disable their guns or propulsion according to your preferences.
• Press the "Set Ready" button and you're good to go! 

Important note: Resources and items (such as credits, XP, camos, and Boosters) are not earned or spent in Training Battles.

Now, let's proceed to some of the questions you might have!

What kinds of ships are available to play?

For now, you can only play ships that you own. Bots have access to all tech tree and Legendary Tier ships. 

How can I play with friends?

The Rooms created by people from your friendlist will be highlighted. Divisions are not available in Training Rooms. As soon as you create your Training Room, you can also use a dedicated voice chat with up to 24 participants (9 from each team plus 6 from the Lobby). The in-battle voice chat works exactly similar to the non-training mode battles.

How many Training Rooms can be active simultaneously? 

The limit is set at 100, but it might be increased in the future. 

Are there any restrictions for Training Battles?

Yes, there is a limit of one aircraft carrier per team, and each team can consist of a maximum of 9 players. 

What to expect down the line?

We plan to make only minor improvements in the near future, if needed.
