Continental Voyage: Pan-European Destroyers in Early Access, a New Collection, and More

Captains, we have good news: a new Tech Tree line is arriving in Early Access! This line features Pan-European Tier IV–VII destroyers, all equipped with powerful HE shells and boasting excellent movement speed. Plus, to help you dive deeper into the history of European naval warfare, we've created a new collection of cards that depict the navies and arsenals of nations referred to as "Pan-Europe" in Legends, including cards for the new destroyers! Check out this article to learn more about the new ships, the card collection, and more.

New Pan-European Destroyers in Early Access

The new line of Pan-European destroyers includes four ships: Tier IV Muavenet, Tier V Stord, Tier VI Grom, and Tier VII Split. Each of these agile and maneuverable vessels is equipped with main battery HE shells that deliver strong damage output, along with Smoke Generator and Engine Boost. Split also features Radar for detecting even the most concealed enemies.

During this update, the new ships will be available in Early Access and can be found in Pan-Eu. Destroyer crates and Pan-Eu. Destroyer Big Crates. Each ship comes with a personal mission where you can earn doubloons and Promotion Orders.

There are several ways to obtain Early Access crates:

  • Through the Tempest of Renaissance campaign—earn 2x Pan-Eu. Destroyer crates without the Admiralty Backing and 5x Pan-Eu. Destroyer crates and 2x Pan-Eu. Destroyer Big Crates with the Admiralty Backing.
  • By purchasing them separately in the Store.
  • Through Old World Treasures chained bundles—more on those later in this article!

You can find the full list of crate contents here: https://wowslegends.com/containers/.

Let's take a closer look at each ship!

Tier IV Muavenet

Muavenet was one of four I-class ships that were ordered from Great Britain in 1938 by Turkey. When World War II began, she was purchased by Britain and renamed HMS Inconstant. During the war, she escorted Atlantic convoys and supported the Normandy landings. In 1946, she was returned to Turkey and renamed Muavenet in honor of World War I destroyer Muâvenet-i Millîye, which had sunk British battleship Goliath.

Muavenet is equipped with four main guns that deliver effective HE shell damage. Though she has medium HP and concealment, her speed helps her avoid dangerous attacks.

Tier V Stord

EN_Stord_EU_T5_DD_Screenshot_j10939_6_7_Screenshots_for_Patchnotes_1200x675_WG_WOWSL-min.jpg

Stord was built by Britain during World War II and was eventually transferred to the Norwegian Navy. She took part in North Atlantic operations, escorted polar convoys, and helped sink German battleship Scharnhorst during the Battle of the North Cape. She also supported the Normandy landings and later escorted convoys to the USSR. After the war, Stord became the flagship of the Norwegian Navy.

Stord is equipped with four fast-reloading main guns delivering strong HE shell damage. While her HP is modest, she compensates with excellent movement speed, maneuverability, and concealment.

Tier VI Grom

EN_Grom_EU_T6_DD_Screenshot_j10939_6_7_Screenshots_for_Patchnotes_1200x675_WG_WOWSL-min.jpg

Grom, one of the strongest European destroyers of her time, entered service in 1937. At the outbreak of World War II, Grom sailed from the Baltic to Britain to help escort supply convoys to Poland. After Poland fell, Grom was taken into British Navy service and participated in the Norwegian campaign. On May 4, 1940, a bomb struck one of Grom's torpedo tubes, causing an explosion that sank the ship in less than three minutes.

Grom features four main guns firing HE shells, offering solid damage output similar to the other new destroyers. She also boasts impressive movement speed.

Tier VII Split

EN_Split_EU_T7_DD_Screenshot_j10939_6_7_Screenshots_for_Patchnotes_1200x675_WG_WOWSL-min.jpg

The construction of Split began in the 1930s in her namesake city, following a Yugoslav Navy order for a large destroyer based on the French Le Fantasque design. In 1941, the city of Split was captured by the Italians, who renamed the ship Spalato. After Italy's capitulation, the ship was grounded in port until 1959, when she entered service and immediately became the navy's flagship.

Split features five fast-reloading main guns that provide solid HE shell damage, along with fast-reloading torpedoes. She is exceptionally speedy compared to most destroyers of her tier and is equipped with Radar to help her evade enemy attacks.
