Victory in Europe Day: 80th Anniversary

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the Allied victory in World War II, known as Victory in Europe Day. We’re commemorating this occasion with themed content: historic World War II ships, including new British battleship Rodney; special Victory Day skins; discounts on select Tech Tree ships; and the Allied Heroes collection, which has been available since the start of the update.

New British Battleship Rodney

Meet the newest addition to our permanent ship collection in the Store: Rodney, a famous British battleship known for her role in the sinking of German battleship Bismarck in 1941 and her participation in the Normandy landings in 1944. In Legends, Rodney is represented as a British Tier VII Premium battleship. You can obtain Rodney either individually or as part of a time-limited big bundle that includes a commemorative flag, boosters, and camouflages.

Compared to many other British warships, Rodney has weaker HE shells, but she's equipped with AP shells that have very high penetration and a short fuse time. She also features unique shell dispersion, making her extremely accurate at short and medium ranges.

Additionally, Rodney has a unique Repair Party that can restore significantly more HP compared to the standard version. You can also choose either Sonar or Engine Boost for your build to further improve her survivability. Plus, Rodney has strong bow and stern armor, allowing her to sustain damage effectively when angled with those parts toward the enemy.

Rodney’s most significant advantage is the addition of 622 mm torpedoes, which have a short reload time and deal massive damage—almost 30,000 per torpedo at maximum—currently the highest damage for a single torpedo in the game! With Rodney, you can show your enemies what the British fleet is truly capable of in close combat.

Each comes with a bonus: a special Victory Day skin. You’ll also find two unique themed skins for Vladivostok and Chapayev.

Discount on Tech Tree Ships

Take advantage of a 15% discount on U.S., British, French, and Soviet Tier V–VII Tech Tree ships from May 5 through 19.

Be sure to complete the Allied Heroes collection, featuring cards depicting ships and heroes of World War II. It launched at the start of the update, but you still have time to collect all the cards and receive new U.S. cruiser Erie.

You'll find the cards in Allied Heroes Collection crates, available through the main campaign (6x crates), the Allied Heroes mission (9x crates), and in the Store for credits.
