Battle of Midway: Themed Missions & Historical Ships
The Battle of Midway was a major World War II naval battle fought in June 1942. It took place near Midway Atoll in the Pacific Ocean and became one of the turning points of the war, shifting the balance of the Pacific War in favor of the Allies. From June 1 to 29, we'll commemorate the Battle of Midway in Legends with famous ships and special activities that will allow you to obtain these ships.
Missions for Midway Coins
In the Store section dedicated to the Battle of Midway, you'll find several historical ships, including U.S. Tier VI Premium cruiser Atlanta and U.S. Tier V Premium destroyer Monaghan. You'll also find a new type of bundle—the choice bundle—allowing you to select one of two rare ships: Japanese Tier VI Premium destroyer Yukikaze or U.S. Tier VII Premium aircraft carrier Enterprise. Each ship will be available for Midway Coins, an event currency that can be purchased directly or earned through special missions from the associated Store section. This is how the missions work:
- The "Midway Clash: First Contact" mission will be available for Global XP. After claiming it, you can complete it once to receive 1,000 Midway Coins.
- Three other missions will be available for doubloons: "Midway Clash: Rising Threat," "Midway Clash: Turning Point," and "Midway Clash: Final Strike." Completing each mission will grant you 1,000 Midway Coins. After completing any of these missions for the first time, it will reappear in the Store, allowing you to obtain and complete it again—up to four times in total. If you purchase and complete each mission the maximum number of times, you’ll receive 12,000 Midway Coins in total.
- Each Battle of Midway mission requires five wins, and progress is tracked across all of them at the same time. If you obtain all of them at the same time, you only need five wins to complete them all.
Also, note that missions available for doubloons provide twice as many Midway Coins for the same price as purchasing Midway Coins separately.
Mission for Steel
We've also prepared another themed mission—Midway Gambit—available to everyone during the update. Complete it to receive 300 Steel, American and Japanese Commander crates, the Battle of Midway flag, camouflages, and Boosters.
Discount for Atago, Zuihō, and Hyūga
