Thunderer Marathon Is Starting!
Captains, gear up and sail out for the new marathon—it starts today! The final reward is British Legendary Tier battleship Thunderer in a unique skin. Like previous marathons, this one consists of three stages spread across three consecutive updates. Read this article to learn how to complete the marathon and earn Thunderer along with other rewards.
Marathon Progression
You'll progress through the marathon by earning Ship Parts from different sources like campaigns, missions, and various activities. Ship Parts also come as a bonus with certain items.
The marathon consists of three stages, each tied to a separate update. Ship Parts earned throughout all three updates will accumulate until the marathon ends. Obtaining Thunderer requires a total of 20,000 Ship Parts. To track your current progress, check out the Marathon section of the main menu.
Stage one of the marathon runs from June 1 to 29. During this stage, you can receive up to 11,000 Ship Parts via the following sources:
- Reforged in Red campaign: 1,000 Ship Parts without the Admiralty Backing and an additional 4,000 Ship Parts with it.
- Endless Waters Calendar: 1,000 Ship Parts
- As a free bonus with the new medieval-themed content: 2,500 Ship Parts with battleship Dover, 500 Ship Parts with each castle skin, and 250 Ship Parts with the Sir Aldric Stormvale and Brother Severin Commander guises—up to 5,000 in total for all this content (find it individually in the Store or in Medieval Chests).
This is how many Ship Parts you can earn during the following stages:
- Stage two: 8,000 Ship Parts via in-game activities, plus an additional 6,000 as bonuses with Store purchases.
- Stage three: 10,000 Ship Parts through in-game activities, plus an additional 11,000 as bonuses with Store purchases.
Tip: Completing at least two campaigns with an active Admiralty Backing and participating in all free activities that reward Ship Parts in the three marathon stages can bring you Thunderer without additional spending. Missing some activities won’t lock you out, but catching up during the final stage will require Store purchases.

- 2,500 Ship Parts: 1x Medieval Chest
- 5,000 Ship Parts: 1x Insignia
- 10,000 Ship Parts: 2x Commendations
- 12,500 Ship Parts: 5x Summer Big Crate
- 15,000 Ship Parts: 36x Union Jack camouflages
- 17,000 Ship Parts: 10x Epic Global XP Boosters
- 20,000 Ship Parts: British Legendary Tier battleship Thunderer in the Strike of Thunder skin
Please note: Ship Parts are always free (including bundles in the Store, where they are granted as a bonus). All unused Ship Parts will expire without compensation when the third stage of the marathon ends.
When Will I Unlock Thunderer?
Most likely in August. To do this, complete all activities where you can earn Ship Parts across the three consecutive updates, including at least two campaigns with an Admiralty Backing. You can finish the marathon even earlier if you complete all activities and obtain additional Ship Parts via the Store, where they're given as a bonus with certain items.
About Thunderer
Thunderer is a sister ship to the British Legendary battleship Conqueror—a ship she shares many similarities with. Thunderer is armed with eight 18-inch (457 mm) guns with battlecruiser dispersion and excellent HE performance that gives her some of the best fire-starting chances in the game. Her other strengths include effective AP shells, great concealment, and good maneuverability.
