Holiday Content: Jingle Ships

Legends, it's time to celebrate the holiday season! We're bringing a variety of gifts, bonuses, rewards, and other festive features, and this text provides a deep dive into those. Let's go!

Gifts and Winter Shards

First and foremost, let's start with the holiday presents. Starting early, from December 12 through 26, the daily reward in the Store includes one free Secret Santa '23 crate in addition to a common container, for a total of 14 festive crates. More on them later (there are as many as three kinds of those in this update!), and you can check out the drop rates here.

To obtain more presents besides those, you'll have to acquire Winter Shards. There are several ways to get them:

Redeem Windroses (how many you can redeem heavily depends on what ships you possess).
Sail through the Adventure Calendar (ho-ho-ho!) for maximum of 6,000 Winter Shards.
Complete special Marco Polo and Marlborough weekly missions that come with the campaign; the maximum number of Winter Shards you can obtain through these missions is 20,000 if you purchase the campaign with both ships in the first week of the update.
Participate in Arena battles; placing in the best 1% of players in each of the three seasons will net you a total of 8,550 Winter Shards.
Acquire Store bundles that hold Winter Shards.

The gifts and rewards you can spend your Shards on include a flurry of content: all-new Japanese Legendary cruiser Yoshino with a special holiday skin; ~~winter versions of Georgia, Hyūga, Maass, and Algérie~~; Super Santa crates; Super 5 crates; Italian Tier IV Premium cruiser Genova; Mr. Scrooge Commander guise with a unique voiceover; and other various in-game items. Please note: You won't be able to acquire Winter Shards after the next update hits on January 16 (it will be special—2 weeks long only), but you'll still be able to spend them on holiday goods!

More presents, ho-ho-ho! The special Holiday Gift bundle is available entirely for free in the Store from December 19 through January 16, containing:

Windroses & Improved Global XP Conversion Rate

Like in the past, this holiday update will see Windroses available for you to redeem from December 12 through January 16, 2023. They work in a very similar way to the First Win Bonuses, but with a few exceptions—they are only for select ships, you can redeem each one only once in the update for the first win on the given ship, and they reward in-game goods instead of XP.

Tier IV–V Premium ships: 2x Holiday camos
Tier VI Premium ships: 75 Winter Shards
Tier VII Tech Tree ships: 100 Winter Shards

Legendary Tier ships: 150 Winter Shards

Additionally, the GXP conversion rate will be improved to x35 (instead of usual x25) for each doubloon from December 12 through 19.

Premium & Tech Tree Ships Discounts

From December 12 through January 2, 2023, you can look forward to a selection of deals for Premium ships, with up to 75% off some prices! The range includes a variety of ships, including Japanese Tier III cruiser Yūbari and German Tier VI battleship Scharnhorst!

For 4 weeks during the update, a credit discount for high-tier (from V to VII) ships of certain Tech Tree lines will be available. The deals will rotate each week:

December 19 – December 26: American ships
December 26 – January 2, 2023: Japanese ships
January 2 – January 9: Pan-Asian ships
January 9 – January 16: Italian ships

Adventure Calendar

From December 12 to January 2, 2023, our in-game Adventure calendar will be available for you to enjoy for free. Completing its daily tasks will bring you prizes, including three additional weekly rewards! As many as 6,000 Winter Shards wait for you if you don't miss anything, along with many more in-game items! The final prize is the Santa Claus Commander guise, applicable to all nations' non-event Commanders and featuring a unique voiceover! Check out a full breakdown of prizes in a standalone article.

Missed days can be recovered for 250 doubloons each, but you'll still need to complete the tasks to get the goods. From January 2 through 16, daily assignments can only be unlocked for doubloons, and the same goes for weekly rewards. Please note: the Adventure Calendar is not available in the mobile version of Legends.

Santa Crates '23

Holiday crates! This year, there are three kinds of those: Secret, Super, and Mega ones. Super Santa crates (as well as Secret) can be purchased for Winter Shards—they include a variety of in-game goods, such as Commander Progression Items; credits; camouflages; and most importantly, a chance to get a Premium ship with a 40-crate guarantee (meaning that you’re guaranteed to get a Premium ship you don't already own from the range available when you open the 40th crate if you don’t receive one in the first 39 crates you open) for Super crates and a 30-crate guarantee for Mega containers. Compared to Super crates, Mega crates have significantly higher chances of dropping a ship, including many rare ones. The full drop rates are available here. The list of boats includes crate-exclusive, all-new Japanese Tier VII Premium destroyer Kirisame, which has access to three different hull options; famed Jean Bart; Stalingrad; and more. A very small chance for a superprize is in place, too.

New Big Winter Crate '23

A revamped seasonal Winter Big Crate has arrived alongside Santa's sleigh of festive containers. For the first time for seasonal big crates, the possible drops include as many as six different Premium ships (twice more than before)! The new lineup includes Tier VI Scharnhorst, Tiger '59, and new version of German Tier VII cruiser Mainz. We covered her and the CE ship framework earlier in the current update patch notes.

New Year's Resolutions Subscriptions

New Year is a time for New Year's resolutions, and there are definitely some you can make regarding Legends! Whether it's sinking at least five ships a day or accumulating as many resources as possible, we can help you with our new range of subscriptions, including 2-week-, 1-month-, and 3-month-long options.
