New Dutch Cruisers in Early Access

Promoslides_7.1_Dutch_CR_Early_Access_Bureau_Release___1200x675_WoWSL-min.jpg

The Dutch fleet finally sets sail! We're happy to introduce the new Dutch Tech Tree line of highly versatile cruisers, which come equipped with Airstrike starting from Tier V. The new line is complemented by the scenic new Rotterdam Port, available for console players.

Tier III–VIII ships will be available in Early Access this update, starting March 3: De Ruyter, Celebes, Kijkduin, Eendracht, Haarlem, and Johan de Witt. You can find them in Dutch Cruiser crates (13 of which are available for free through the campaign and Dutch Legacy Calendar) and in the Dutch Legends random bundle in the Store, which can also drop Premium cruiser De 7 Provinciën. All Early Access ships come with a personal mission that rewards doubloons.

Tier I cruiser Gelderland will be available in the Tech Tree right away, followed by Tier II cruiser Java, which you can unlock simply by playing. Of course, someone has to command the new Dutch ships, so we're also introducing a new free Commander, Henk Pröpper, who will join your ranks automatically this update. His base trait Terrible Twin increases outgoing damage from shells, torpedoes, and bombs by up to 2% and reduces main battery gun reload time by up to 2%.

Throughout the update, you can earn Guldens—a special currency that can be spent on various items in the Store. These include the Orange Fleet chained bundles, which offer new Legendary Tier cruiser Gouden Leeuw in the final bundle, along with special Royal Netherlands Navy skins for the new cruisers. You can obtain Guldens through the campaign, the Dutch Legacy Calendar, and the Dutch Legends random bundle. Note that after this update, Gouden Leeuw will only be available again next year, either through the Bureau or for Global XP.

Dutch Legacy Calendar

EN_Dutch_Legacy_Calendar_7.1_Screenshots_for_PR_j14861_1920x1080_WoWSL.jpg

This new Calendar starts on March 3 and features 3 weeks of daily tasks. Complete them all to earn an abundance of rewards, including Dutch Cruiser crates, Guldens, and the final prize—Dutch Commander Johan Furstner, whose abilities are perfectly suited for the new Dutch cruisers, including those armed with Airstrike. His base trait Minister of the Navy increases damage dealt by fires your cruiser starts by up to 7%. He's also equipped with a unique skill, Risk Theory, that reduces your cruiser's detectability by up to 3%, shortens the increased detectability time after shooting by up to 30%, and increases outgoing damage while your cruiser is undetected by up to 5%.

You'll have an additional 2 weeks to fully complete the Calendar, until April 7, with the option to recover 3 missed days for free and additional days for 250 doubloons each.

St. Patrick's Day is the perfect time for some crazy tricks! Join the company of Shamrock Shana and try on the Lucky Shamrock skin for Duke of York. Both new and returning St. Patrick's Day content will be available in the Store starting March 17, along with Pots of Gold, which guarantee doubloons paired with other rewards—or, if luck is truly on your side, the leprechaun's stash of doubloons. You can also complete the Lucky Seas mission to receive 16x St. Paddy camouflages and 1x Spring Big Crate.

EN_Shamrock_Shana_overlay_7.1_Screenshots_for_PR_j14861_1920x1080_WoWSL.jpg

Shana was an Irish circus star until a mysterious explosion shattered her mind, transforming her into Shamrock Shana, an eccentric performer who turns city streets and ship decks alike into her stage. This Commander guise is compatible with British; Commonwealth; and U.S. Commanders. It includes golden-colored shell tracers, a signal flare for horn sounding, and fireworks for activating Legendary skills. It also provides a daily bonus of +50% credits when you receive 3 "Set on Fire" ribbons in a single battle.

The Commander guises Brady McMordoff, Cara McMordoff, and Basil Pinepickle now also have daily bonuses—you can find more details in the Store.

Ranked Battles: Seasons 73–74

This March, join two new seasons of Ranked Battles and compete for various rewards in teams of three!

  • Season 73: March 4 – March 9; only Tier III ships
  • Season 74: March 11 – March 16; only Tier IV ships

Rewards include Steel, camouflages, crates, credits, Commander Progression Items, and Boosters. Aircraft carriers cannot participate in this battle type, and only one destroyer per team is allowed.

Changing PEGI Rating

Effective March 17, the Pan-European Game Information (PEGI) rating of the game will increase from PEGI 7 to PEGI 12 due to minimal changes affecting only new content, with no impact on pre-existing content. Additionally, the game's International Age Rating Coalition (IARC) rating has already been adjusted to 12+ automatically.

Improvements and Bug Fixes

All Platforms

  • Fixed a bug where some items were duplicated in the list of rewards displayed when opening containers.
  • Corrected the "Entered Service" date for Colbert in the ship's overview.
  • Disabled Demo battles for ship types you hadn't played more than once yet, which allowed for two games without resource costs and with reduced XP earnings. All other battle types remain unchanged for all ship types.

Console

  • Updated the look of some pages in the Settings menu to make them easier to navigate.
  • Added a separate toggle in the Customization tab of the Settings for enabling/disabling Blue Archive Commander voiceovers and skins.
  • The Admiralty Backing screen will now display the actual number of rewards to be unlocked after obtaining the Admiralty Backing, rather than the total number, which previously included already earned rewards.
  • Fixed occasional visual artifacts in the Port.
  • Fixed a visual issue where the guaranteed reward counter UI would disappear when opening multiple crates of the same type at once.

Mobile

  • Improved texture quality and fixed various visual artifacts.

Prepare for thrilling combat and turn the tide!
