Sneak Peek: New Japanese Hybrid Battleships

Captains, if you read the 2025 roadmap we shared earlier this year, you may remember the mention of a completely new Tech Tree branch planned exclusively for Legends this December. Well, we've decided to lift the veil a little and share more details to keep your anticipation high! 

The new line features Japanese hybrid battleships that all carry aircraft with impressive torpedo payloads. Every ship in the line is capable of executing Airstrikes similar to those of U.S. hybrid battleships but with distinct characteristics. This concept was born from our desire to bring something fresh to the game and give you new ways to experiment with your playstyle.

The peak of the branch is Legendary Tier battleship Aki, and like other ships in the line, she carries torpedo bombers capable of unleashing punishing Airstrikes. Their design is inspired by real history—specifically, the Kawanishi H8K flying boats used by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service during World War II. Aki's other standout features include massive guns similar to Yamato's—two triple-barrel turrets housing 460 mm (18-inch) artillery mounted on the front of the ship—along with powerful anti-aircraft defenses.
