Spanish Wave: Early Access Cruisers, Calendar, and Collection
¡Hola, Capitanes! A new nation, Spain, is coming to Legends. Starting September 8, it will be represented by a new cruiser Tech Tree line. These ships are equipped with highly accurate, fast-reloading guns, as well as defensive torpedoes. Starting at Tier V, they also come with the new "ready rack" feature, which lets you deliver a burst of rapid salvos against your enemies.
During this update, Tier III–VIII ships will be available in special Early Access crates, while Tier I and II will already be in the Tech Tree, accompanied by the new default Spanish Commander.
In addition to the new Spanish line, we've also prepared a new Spanish-themed Calendar and collection, which you can complete for free to earn plenty of rewards.
More details below!
How to Get the New Ships and Skins
Ships in Early Access: Tier III–VIII
Tier III–VIII Spanish cruisers (Almirante Cervera, Galicia, Baleares, Asturias, Cataluña, and Andalucía) can be found in Spanish Cruiser crates and Spanish Cruiser Big Crates, with the latter offering a higher chance of receiving a ship. You can obtain these crates from various sources:
- Shield of Troy campaign: 6x Spanish Cruiser crates without the Admiralty Backing; an additional 3x Spanish Cruiser crates and 2x Spanish Cruiser Big Crates with the Admiralty Backing
- "Bound by Duty" Calendar: 6x Spanish Cruiser crates and 1x Spanish Cruiser Big Crate
- Armada Española collection: 2x Spanish Cruiser crates
- Store
All Early Access ships come with a personal mission that rewards doubloons.
You can find the drop rates for both crates here: https://wowslegends.com/containers/
Modernist Heritage Skins
For each Spanish cruiser from Tier III to VIII, we've also prepared unique modernist-inspired skins that can be found in the Store. You can claim one of these skins for just 1 doubloon using the special coupon, which you can earn by completing the Modernist Livery mission from September 8 to October 6. This mission will also reward you with credits and European camouflages.
A Closer Look at the New Tech Tree Line
Tier I Júpiter
Júpiter provides excellent survivability and visibility for her tier, which helps balance her modest mobility. This ship will be available in the Tech Tree right away, starting from this update.
Tier II Navarra
Navarra boasts a very large health pool but only average concealment, maneuverability, and speed. She also has access to AP shells with solid alpha damage and penetration. You can unlock Navarra in the Tech Tree by progressing through the lower-tier Júpiter.
Tier III Almirante Cervera
This cruiser offers very good speed for her size and solid health, and she's equipped with Sonar. Her damage output is lower than that of her higher-tier counterparts, but she carries a large number of torpedoes that can easily sink enemies.
Tier IV Galicia
Galicia is the last light cruiser in the branch, boasting excellent health, speed, and firing range. She's also equipped with Sonar. Unlike the previous-tier cruiser, she carries far fewer torpedoes.
Tier V Baleares
Like all previous tiers, Baleares features a solid health pool, good speed and firing range, and Sonar. However, she also carries higher-caliber guns than the lower tiers. Most importantly, she is the first ship in the line equipped with a ready rack—a new feature that allows her to fire two very accurate salvos in rapid sequence at the cost of a longer reload. Although her concealment is worse than that of lower-tier cruisers, she is equipped with the Defensive AA Fire consumable, which helps her survive.
Tier VI Asturias
Like all other ships in the line, Asturias boasts a strong health pool and good speed, accuracy, and firing range, along with a set of consumables that also includes the Catapult Fighter and Repair Party. Equipped with the ready rack feature, she can unleash two salvos in quick succession, at the cost of a longer reload. In addition, she has higher AP damage but worse concealment compared to the lower-tier Baleares.
Tier VII Cataluña
Cataluña boasts three triple-barrel guns with great accuracy, a big health pool, impressive speed, excellent firing range, and a solid set of consumables. Like all higher-tier Spanish cruisers, she is equipped with the ready rack feature, which allows her to fire two salvos with a brief interval at the cost of a longer reload. Her main weakness is her poor concealment, which is typical for Spanish heavy cruisers.
Tier VIII Andalucía
Andalucía's strongest points are her accuracy, firing range, ready rack feature, excellent HP, and versatile set of consumables. However, like other Spanish heavy cruisers, her concealment leaves much to be desired. Compared to Cataluña, she boasts higher-caliber guns, allowing for greater damage output.
Legendary Tier: Coming Soon
Want to get your hands on a Legendary Tier Spanish cruiser? You won't have to wait much longer! A Bureau Project is set to arrive with the October update. Stay tuned!
Commander Casto Méndez Núñez
Casto Méndez Núñez is a renowned 19th-century Spanish admiral. You'll receive this Commander by default with the new update, allowing you to set sail with the new Spanish cruisers right away.
His Honor Before Ships base trait reduces sea detectability range by up to 3% and increases maximum speed by up to 3%.
"Bound by Duty" Calendar
Starting September 8, complete a 3-week series of daily tasks in this new Calendar to earn plenty of rewards, including Spanish Cruiser crates, Commander Progression Items, and the final prize: Spanish Commander Pascual Cervera y Topete. His Enduring Spirit base trait reduces incoming damage to your cruiser by up to 0.2% per 1% of HP lost. He also has two unique skills:
- Forewarned Command: Reduce your cruiser's main battery reload time while detected by enemy ships by up to 10% at the cost of 35% increased detectability time after firing main battery guns.
- Honorable Sacrifice (Legendary skill): Increase the number of shells in your cruiser's ready rack by 1 at the cost of increasing main battery reload time by up to 55% and reducing maximum HP by up to 7%.
This update spans 4 weeks instead of the usual 5. That means, after the initial 3 weeks, you'll only have 1 additional week (until October 6) to complete the Calendar. You can recover 3 missed days for free, plus any additional days for 250 doubloons each.
