Captains, the Christmas season is just around the corner! Starting December 1, we're launching a bunch of activities that will bring you exciting rewards and a holiday spirit. Watch the video and keep reading for more details!

Take Your Christmas Gift!

Be sure to visit the Store between December 1 and January 19 to claim the free Magic on the Waves bundle. You'll find plenty of items inside, including Mystic Box and Mystic Lantern crates which can drop Premium ships. You'll also receive Merry Tokens to trade for festive rewards and decorate Santa City Port. Plus, visit the Store daily for the first week of the update (December 1–8) and claim one free Mystic Box per day!

Merry Tokens: How to Earn and Spend

Merry Tokens are the special currency for this Christmas event. They will allow you to unlock various things in the Store and decorate Santa City Port, which we'll describe further in this article.

Here's how you can earn Merry Tokens:

• Magic on the Waves free bundle: 500
• Road to New Year: 6,000 Merry Tokens
• Merry Shipmas free campaign: 6,000
• Triple Jingle Advent Calendar: 5,000
• Weekly Assignments: 750 each week, 5,250 total
• Windroses: from 50 to 125 Merry Tokens per ship
• "Northern Likes" web event: 2,000

And don't forget that you may have already received some Merry Tokens through the Road to New Year marathon!

Below are some of the rewards you can get in the Store with Merry Tokens:

Unfreezable Sam Commander Guise

Meet the little version of the legendary Unsinkable Sam—he'll expertly command your ship from his cozy pillow!

• Nations: All
• Voiceover: Cattish (your ship will be guided by meows instead of the usual Commander's remarks!)
• Special effects: Red shell tracers, multi-colored signal flare for horn sounding, and multi-colored fireworks for activating Legendary skills
• Daily bonus: +50% credit earnings when you deal 3,000 fire damage to enemy ships in a single battle (can be applied once per day)

Andrew Brooks Commander Guise

Andrew is a dedicated naval officer who loves his job as much as he loves his family. He's glad to be back home to celebrate the winter holidays!

• Nations: All
• Voiceover: English
• Special effects: Red shell tracers, multi-colored signal flare for horn sounding, and multi-colored fireworks for activating Legendary skills
• Daily bonus: +20% Ship XP when you hit enemy ships 50 times with your main battery guns in a single battle (can be applied once per day)

Frozen Skins

These new skins for Rhode Island, Sevastopol, Yamato, Shimakaze, Yorck, Kansas, and Flandre will give each ship a chilling new look!

Other Rewards

In addition to the new Commander guises and Frozen skins, you can also exchange Merry Tokens for snowy skins and Commander guises from previous years, Mystic Box and Mystic Lantern crates, Winter Big Crates, Commander Progression Items, and a coupon granting 70% off Premium ships in the Store.

Santa City: Decorate the Port and Get Rewards

Welcome to Santa City! Its cozy Port will be a haven for your ships throughout the entire holiday update, starting December 1. You can decorate this Port by earning Merry Tokens: the more you earn, the more special upgrades will become available! Note that you don't need to actually spend Merry Tokens to progress in the event—the act of acquiring them will decorate Santa City Port. Spending Merry Tokens in the Store won't set your decoration progress back.

What's more, you'll also receive rewards along the way: 4x Mystic Lanterns, 2x Mystic Boxes, a special patch symbol and flag, and 12x Peppermint Wrap camouflages. Captains who fully decorate everything will receive the very rare Captain Gingerbread achievement:

You can track your progress, claim rewards, and apply upgrades on the Santa City progress screen. Once the holiday update ends, you'll be able to continue to enjoy this Port again in the update that follows, with all of your upgrades preserved!

Holiday Missions

A couple of missions await you over the holidays, with festive crates up for grabs as final rewards:

• December 1 – January 19: Glowing Lights mission; 1x Mystic Lantern as the final reward
• December 22 – January 19: Jingle Sails mission; 1x Mystic Box as the final reward

Windroses, Improved First-Win Bonus, and Discounts

• Windroses: Get rewards for your first wins of the update playing Tier IV and higher ships (December 1 – January 19):
  • All Tier IV-VII ships: 50 Merry Tokens per ship
  • Tier VIII Tech Tree ships: 100 Merry Tokens per ship
  • Tier VIII Premium ships and Legendary Tier ships: 125 Merry Tokens per ship
• First-Win Bonus: Improved to x3 for December 8–15 and to x5 for December 26–29
• Discount on converting Elite XP to Global XP: Get 35 Global XP instead of 25 per doubloon (December 15 – January 12)
• Tech Tree discounts: 20% off Tier IV–V ships and 30% off Tier VI–VIII ships (December 29 – January 5)

Triple Jingle Advent Calendar

Start the new Triple Jingle Advent Calendar on December 1, and complete daily tasks for 25 days to receive a heap of rewards, including the final one: a mischievous trio of elves who will bring fun and chaos to your battles. Don't worry if you miss some days: you'll be able to recover up to seven for free.

Road to New Year: Lugdunum Is Arriving!

The final stage of the Road to New Year free marathon runs from December 1 to January 19! Captains with 20,000 Ship Parts from the previous two stages will be able to claim icy battleship Lugdunum from the marathon screen from December 1. And if you haven't gathered enough yet, don't worry! There's still time to catch up, even if you're starting literally from zero. Here's how many Ship Parts you can earn during the upcoming update:

• Merry Shipmas free campaign: 15,000
• Road to New Year mission: 7,500

Mystic Crates and Ships Inside

We've mentioned these new crates quite often, and now it's time for us to give more details! We've prepared three new crates for this Christmas event. Apart from Commander Progression Items and other resources, each of them also has a chance to drop a Premium ship:

• Mystic Box: A Tier IV–VI Premium ship or Mystic Chest are among the possible drops.
• Mystic Lantern: A Tier V to Legendary Premium ship, including rare ships like Ohio, Lenin, Yoshino, and others is among the possible drops. Can also drop a Mystic Chest.
• Mystic Chest: A new ship—Incomparable, Aki, or Marceau—or their exclusive Special Editions (see the New Ships section below), or a stash of doubloons are among the possible drops. The guaranteed reward system applies to all ships in this crate (details at https://wowslegends.com/containers/).

Mystic Box and Mystic Lantern crates are widely available through various activities, while Mystic Chests are rarer and can either be found inside one of these two crates or in the Mystic Bundle in the Store.

Mystic Chest: New Ships and Their Special Editions

As we mentioned above, Mystic Chests can drop one of three new ships or their super-rare Special-Edition versions. The SE versions have the same characteristics as the originals but feature unique chrome skins that display a counter of sunk ships.

Incomparable and Incomparable SE '25

This British Legendary Tier battleship lives up to her name in both size and firepower. She features the largest guns in the game (larger even than Yamato's!) with six 20-inch (508 mm) guns that are highly accurate, deal devastating damage, and feature a unique sound when firing. Despite this firepower, she's quite stealthy, which helps compensate for her weak armor and low HP. Just be warned: once detected, Incomparable rarely survives long!

Aki and Aki SE '25

Aki is a Legendary Tier battleship, the pinnacle of the new Early Access line of Japanese hybrid battleships, all capable of launching Torpedo Airstrikes. She's armed with Yamato's guns—among the deadliest in the game—but lacks the rear turret, which has been replaced with a catapult deck. Her main guns are extremely accurate and have excellent range, though they offer only moderate damage per minute. Her Airstrikes launch 12 torpedoes, which is enough to completely dominate a Key Area and prevent its capture for a time. Aki also boasts very high HP but suffers from low speed and poor concealment.

If you miss Aki during this update, don't worry: she'll return at some point in 2026 as a Bureau Project.

Marceau and Marceau SE '25

Marceau is a French Tier VIII Premium destroyer armed with eight American-style, long-barrel, 5-inch (127 mm) guns mounted in four twin-gun turrets. She also carries potent short-range torpedo armament and boasts the incredible speed characteristics of French destroyers. Uniquely for her nation, Marceau is equipped with the Repair Party consumable.

You can also obtain the regular version of Marceau for Steel in the Store starting December 1. She'll remain available for Steel indefinitely, even after the update ends.

New Year's Resolution Subscription

It's time for New Year's resolutions! No matter what naval plans you have for the upcoming year, they'll all be achievable with the New Year's Resolution subscription for Xbox and PlayStation, available from December 1. It grants you 1,000 doubloons daily for 60 days—that's 60,000 doubloons in total, as long as you claim 1,000 doubloons each day in the in-game Store (the daily reset is at 7:00 AM UTC). To start receiving doubloons, you'll need to launch the game and log in at least once before January 26 after purchasing the subscription.

Super VIII Crate

During the upcoming update, check the Store for the new Super VIII crate, which is guaranteed to drop a Tier VIII Premium ship! You can find the full drop rates here: https://wowslegends.com/containers/

"Northern Likes" Event

As we get closer to Christmas, we'll release a video featuring members of our community and development teams sharing hints about what's coming to Legends next year. This video will also be part of our special Northern Likes event—support it with your likes to unlock rewards! If you reach all three goal milestones together, each Captain will be able to claim 1x Mystic Box; 1x Mystic Lantern crate; 2,000 Merry Tokens; and 3x special patch symbols. Stay tuned: we'll announce the video in our blog and on social media closer to Christmas Eve!
