Age of Discovery: New Ships and the Spirit of Adventure

Captains, join us and set sail for adventures inspired by European sea legends of the 15th to 17th centuries! Browse the Store to find ships named after legendary icons of the Age of Discovery and get a chance to step aboard two new arrivals: Spanish cruiser Numancia and Dutch cruiser Vrijheid. Also be sure to complete a special mission for various national camouflages and more rewards. Keep reading for all the details!

New Ships

Numancia

Numancia is a Spanish Tier VII Premium cruiser featuring an unusual turret layout that places two turrets on the stern and one on the bow. Her guns can fire three rapid salvos over a short interval thanks to her "ready rack," but it comes at the cost of a longer reload time. Numancia also has an improved Repair Party and can unleash a spread of 12 long-range torpedoes. You can receive Numancia from the Spirit of Discovery random bundle in the Store.

Vrijheid

Vrijheid is a Dutch Tier VII Premium light cruiser equipped with one of the fastest-recharging Airstrikes in the game and two charges for it. Her concealment places her among the best of her tier, and she's equipped with Smoke Generator, making her a dangerous enemy that can unleash strikes from above at the most unexpected times. You can find Vrijheid in the Spirit of Discovery random bundle in the Store.

Era-Inspired Content in the Store

Check out the new Spirit of Discovery random bundle for a chance to receive one of two new ships: Numancia or Vrijheid. You can also obtain a rare look for your ship: one of the Royal Netherlands Navy skins for Dutch cruisers or the Modernist Heritage skins for Spanish cruisers.

During the event, you'll also find two ships in the Store inspired by the Age of Discovery: Marco Polo, named after the famous Venetian traveler, and Ark Royal, named after the legendary 16th-century galleon.

Age of Discovery Mission

Complete the Age of Discovery mission by March 30 to receive camouflages inspired by European navies, a Commendation, and a coupon granting you a 3,000-doubloon discount on Tier IV–VII ships in the Store. Each of the four mission tasks can be completed faster if you play specific ships: Cristoforo Colombo, Henri IV, Numancia, and Vrijheid, for the missions in order.
