Racing Legends
The Racing Legends event brings a whole new dimension to our game, giving you a chance to race powerboats across special racetracks! Bad Advice Cap and Fishy will man (and fish?!) your rafts.
You’ll have a choice of two watercraft: the Catastromaran is a little faster but drifts wider whenever taking turns, while Flash Marine is easier to handle but lacks speed. For 3 weeks, until April 11, you’ll be able to speed through two tracks—one of them is a sprint from point A to point B, the other is a circuit race of two laps.
When racing your opponents, you’ll have a few tools other than your racing gloves to affect the outcome. While finding the apex of the turn will be of high importance, shooting your rivals with torpedoes or guns to kick out their engines will be equally, if not more effective. There is also a choice of consumables, among them the new “Teleport” function, which can pull you out of a tight spot—literally—but also puts you a few yards back on the track. You’ll also need Damage Control Party to counter others shooting your engine and Main Battery Reload Booster to give you an edge when chasing opponents.
As you participate in races, you’ll get various medals that will help you get Racing Legends Tokens that you can later spend in the Store. The number of Tokens you can get is capped at 7,350. You get them by completing the Racing Legends special missions that will be available during 3 weeks of the event. Among the attainable rewards is new American Tier IV Premium destroyer Hill, Bad Advice Cap and Fishy guises, and various Commander progression items. Additionally, while completing the "Classy Racing" mission, you'll unlock additional skins for your speedboats.
As mentioned, the races will span 3 weeks, and each of them has its own leaderboard. The more you race, the more points you’ll get and the higher you’ll place on the leaderboard. There's no limit on how many races you can enter per day, so it can be a total racing frenzy if you want it to be. Check out the rewards for each week at the end of this article.
Speaking of the guises, they bring colored shell tracers, signal flares for sounding the horn, and fireworks that are visible to your teammates whenever your Legendary skills activate. Racer Fishy goes with Japanese, German, French, and Pan-Asian Commanders; Bad Advice Cap goes with the American, British, Soviet, Italian, and Pan-European Commanders. Both guises can be used with historical and event Commanders, but can not be applied to the collaboration ones.
