Some days are better, others are not, but this time of the year, we’re bringing solid three weeks of Hunt for Agincourt. What’s that, you ask?

The answer is simple: It’s an in-game event that allows you to earn a free Premium ship as the ultimate reward! This time, it’s the British Navy’s own Tier III battleship Agincourt.

The way the event works is quite simple: You get three daily tasks for 3 weeks (those replace the Daily Supplies tasks), and prizes are issued upon completing them, with three additional weekly rewards. Completing all of them nets you the ship!

Any missed days can be recovered for 250 doubloons each (weekly rewards unlock for 1,500 doubloons for Week 1 and 1,750 for each of Weeks 2 and 3), and you’ll have to complete the tasks to get the rewards. The event starts on September 12 and concludes on October 3. However, you’ll have two extra weeks—through October 17—to catch up using doubloons.

Here’s the summary of the prizes:

And now, let’s take a look at her gameplay-wise with the breakdown and Commander build advice courtesy of TheSailingRobin:

Tier III just got a whole lot spicier with the arrival of Agincourt. This early 1910’s dreadnought (she was built for Brazil, bought out by the Ottoman Empire, and ended up serving the British Empire after being requisitioned due to the outbreak of WWI) brings, to put it simply, a lot of firepower—fourteen 12-inch (305 mm) guns in seven twin-gun “superfiring” turrets, the largest barrel count in her environment. In terms of protection, speed, and HP, everything about the ship falls in the average of the tier, although her anti-air defenses are simply non-existent. On the other hand, the ship benefits from a pretty decent secondary battery, with the guns’ calibers and base firing range slightly above the norm.

To helm this unique ship, Andrew Cunningham is our pick this time. While he’s one of the oldest Commanders in the game, his skillset is perfectly suited to improving Agincourt’s specific characteristics, with his Concentrated Devastation base trait improving the shell grouping of the main battery. Then:

  • Not the One for Nuisance (reduces the risk of catching fire and flooding; reduces incoming torpedo damage).
  • Gyrating Drillbits (increases main battery gun traverse speed and AP shell damage but decreases the ship’s speed).
  • Marksmanship (improves main battery gun dispersion while increasing the rudder-shift time).
  • Emergency Specialist (reduces the cooldown of Damage Control Party but also reduces its duration).
  • Fight Fire with Fire (reduces fire incoming damage to your ship while automatically extinguishing fires if three are active simultaneously).

For inspirations, we’re again focusing on the main guns:

  • Newcomer Angelo Iachino’s Go Away (improves main battery shell grouping against battleships and destroyers, and significantly—against cruisers).
  • Paolo Di Revel’s Time Is of the Essence (reduces main battery gun reload time).

Hunt with us this fall, and turn the tide!
