2 pointsI was not sure where to post this so I stuck it here. I have been enjoying playing so far, have not raged once, I play vs AI until I get a feel for the ship then go in to PVP. I assume you get more experience for pvp?, maybe it is mention in game and I missed it. I like the looks and feel of the game, have had no issues with lag or crashes, loading in to matches has been smooth, I did notice the zoomed in twitch which is already a known issue. I like the ability to mute individual players or just shut voice chat off, definite +1 from me. I found scoring system confusing at first, red flag on left, blue on right, I thought numbers under red flag were for red team and vice versa. Looking around seems slow when locking guns and trying to see what I may be running into. Mini map location and size, too small for me, can not tell how close I am to teammate etc and I am always looking in bottom right corner for it. Have had trouble backing up a few times after running in to islands, ship did not seem to want to go in reverse. After battle results is there a way to see these for everyone?. Some sort of destroyer tutorial might help, was not sure what smoke and engine boost were until using them and shooting torps when everything was lined up very rarely hit anything, I was confused for a bit. Spectating controls legend, I watched a few games from other ships before I realised pressing triangle was free view. Ship sorting?, I am starting to get a long line of ships and can not figure out how to sort them by Nation etc. Does gold and experience acquired stay in your account after beta test?. If I notice anything else I will add it here but so far so good, I will definitely be playing World of Warships Legends when released.

2 pointsJust thought I would create a thread for some unofficial feedback from the new closed beta testers. Tell us what you think. Please no I did not get in post, plenty of those already.

1 pointHi all, Just is just some of my initial first thoughts on Legends. I have playing playing console tanks for 4 years, World of Warships on the PC for 3, and World of Warships Blitz for about 2 months. Some of these items might be more opinion based preferences than game issues. 1. The HUD layout feels a bit awkward. I think I would prefer the mini-map in the lower right hand corner as opposed to the upper left. It might just be me needing to take some getting used to, but after 3 hours of play this morning it still feels a bit off to me. Console Tanks and PC Ships are lower right and it feels more natural to me there. 2. Controller settings? How about using the letter buttons for consumables? Then using the D pad for adjusting weapon systems and throttle. 'UP' would be forward (several taps to increase throttle) and 'DOWN' would be reverse. 'RIGHT' could be ammo type (if using Guns) or Torp spreads, 'LEFT" would be weapon changing (torps or guns). Or at least making this layout an option. 3. I assume at some point we will be able to look at after action reports, see everyone's stats, kills, and so on. 4. I did notice a few times that when you turn your ship towards incoming torpedoes, your ship will block your view of the torps. DDs this isn't too much of a problem but on larger ships losing where that torp gets blocked by your ship. Maybe change the angles of the camera view a bit? 5. Changing camera views. I'm ok with using the button and that's not an issue. But maybe a 3rd view. You can have Close, Middle and Far. The ship always seems to close to the camera. Having a farther back view might also help with #5 above. 6. Radial Commands. I am going to guess that at some point we will have additional options? Like while in Radial view being able to press A or B to switch 'pages' to show additional communication options. 7. An option to see your ships stats while in game. I know on the PC simply holding down 'H' will your ships stats. Obviously we cannot do this on console. But maybe using the game menu button. Where you can quit, continue, settings on the left, on the right show your ships stats. Gun Range, Damage, Detection Range, Max Speed, Torp Ranges and Damage, Visibility ranges.. I'll probably add more to this thread as I play the game and get a better feel for it. I'm not even sure this is the right place for it, so Mod/Admin feel free to move it if needed. I do like the game. It does seem a bit simplistic, closer in relation to Blitz like it's optimized for a mobile device instead of a console. I'll keep plugging away. Is there any NDA about posting videos on youtube on the game play? Can I do that? I probably missed a thread that said NOOOOOOO. lol -Wraith

1 pointso, some feedback after playing 15 or so matches from a veteran wows player: USER INTERFACE + very nicely built for TV screens + good and clear distinction for UI objects + VERY nice implementation of gun reload/firing arcs within the crosshair. + good team overview screen - ship direction and viewing lines on minimap could need some better contrast, VERY hard to see - ship direction/gun alignment overview in the bottom center of the screen hard to make out when zoomed in - the flow "start battle -> ai/pvp -> ship selection" feels a bit strange. I guess ranked or missions will come in later on into the game, i'd prefer the ai/pvp selection to be made after the ship selection though. "Start Battle [X] (hold for other game modes)" might be an idea - the ribbons for pens/overpens need a splice of color to tell the player "this was a good hit". they currently don't give good visual feedback - the cooldown for torpedo reload should be visible before switching the armament. it's a bit much button juggling currently, especially for new players NEW PLAYERS + good adoption of the player's rank and unlocking one feature after another! i found it properly paced + overall good info screens when unlocking the new features - lack of tutorials/introduction to the game mechanics (will give suggestions below) - team overview screen should state :Name: bots as (Bot) or (AI) as only WOWS PC players will know the difference immediately * Commanders: show a suggestion for which ship type they're best suited for. They're clearly built with specific types in mind and it would help new players quickly getting over this learning hurdle. GAMEPLAY + overall a nice adoption of the wows experience! kudos to the team for the already polished experience 🙂 - so far I haven't found anything that I'd change, honestly TUTORIAL/HELP SECTION SUGGESTIONS 1. UI - go through all elements of the UI in battle and explain what stuff does/shows. Shell travel time? Free look? 2. Gameplay - difference between pens/overopens/shatters etc. - those are all completely new things for the majority of wows:legends players but have a wild effect on their performance and therefore enjoyment of the game 3. Progress - Explain the four currencies and what they are used for IN DETAIL. F2P players are used to different currencies, but give the new (and non-regular) players a proper overview

1 pointMy rundown so far, bearing in mind I have no prior experience with WoWS in any form: Pros - aesthetically it looks great so far; gameplay is smooth (no hiccups or jitter); making things like PvP and commander access linked to experience level is a nice way to ease new players into the action; on the whole RNG doesn’t seem to be as influential as WoT (maybe I just haven’t noticed as much) and I like that there is no premium ammo. Contrary to others’ opinions, I like the mini map being top rather than bottom screen, since torpedoes and nearby obstacles need to be seen in the lower portion of the HUD. Cons - the torpedo aiming mechanics are not intuitive or perhaps feel clunky; it does feel like a farther view is needed to help situational awareness; small things could be improved, such as making the highlight box stand out more when over a given ship (right now it’s brighter white, like bold, but can get lost), providing more guided information on upgrades and slots, and some sort of descriptor/guide on the strengths/weaknesses of various classes. WoT is infamous for requiring players to find online sources to learn the game properly - there is no reason to continue the trend here. Those are my current thoughts as a total noob to Warships.

1 pointBoth of these are spot on. Due to the close view of your ship, situational awareness is incredibly difficult to maintain, and I constantly find myself looking lower-right for my minimap Also, with the joystick click to target, I’m consistently targeting different enemies on accident when the fighting gets intense, which can be really bad when you’re in a real furball. Otherwise, an excellent job so far, and I’m really enjoying the game.

1 pointThanks, someone left a hatch open and I was able to sneak in. Been keeping a low profile here. Good to see another familiar face.

1 pointColour me impressed. I love the higher torpedo view, the better perspective really helps when lining up shots. I love the captain system, the pc version just seemed fiddly and too micro intensive. I really like how the ship defaults to a straight line, so course corrections are exactly that. Corrections. Not commitments. Being a seasoned WOT Console player, the straight, situational, AP/HE choice is BEYOND refreshing. I’m known among my friends as a bit of a rager...many a controller has been lost on the line of duty. But this hits the adrenaline just right, with soooo much less RNG/luck based punishments. It rewards skill. If you do badly, just learn and do better. If I surprise a destroyer he is RIP. I outplay him, poof, reward. I love the reload circles in the middle, I had no idea how you guys would implement that on console, but wow. Top notch, it conveys information such as gun position, turn rate, and the reload status of every individual gun/turret seamlessly. Seriously give the brain box that came up with that a bonus!! I like the module/upgrade progression system, if i were to be nit picky, I’d say it was a touch “too” simplistic, was hoping for more customisation, but I’m only at tier 4 so that may well come later!! One “tiny” other thing... we are all used to the map in the bottom right, wot console, wot pc and WOW pc are all bottom right... I find myself never looking at it or just glancing at my ammo selection. It’s like suddenly driving on the wrong side of the road... you can do it... but you’ll probably hit a lot more mountains... Anyway, thank you for putting up with my Essay, I’ll add more as I progress and if anything else jumps out at me! Thanks guys!!

1 pointI don't think I could create threads in game discussion at the time. Can't rememnber lol.

1 pointI can see why what was said has been said, but it also feels like you are trying to simply the game way too much just for the console crowd. The UI has to be based around that of course, so UI needs to be easy to see at distance, but currently that is not the case. The background in the port is fairly bright so using white text without at the very least a black border makes UI and menu options hard to see, as is the case for in game UI features and functions. Possibly a 5% increase in size or just simply a black outline should alleviate those issues. As for tiers and balance in regards to console. The influx of information available at any given tier especially higher tiers are close to if not equally the same. So by simply adding three more tiers with the inclusion of the ships those tiers would bring, would and should not interfere with the knowledge that players should already have by the time they reach tier 7 anyways. And if the fear still exists then there needs to be a better system at the beginning of the game that teaches and educates players to the different gameplay mechanics as they progress in tiers, and maybe even loading screen tips that provide players with the knowledge regarding difference between shell types, what armor is and how it is relevant to wows and how best to maximize use of it, and even more general knowledge about tips on surviving in battles. All i'm saying is that there are plenty of ways to make it work. Time will ultimately tell how and if console players get the hang of the game, but ultimately it should have no effect realistically on whether or not tiers up to 10 can be added.

1 pointI have started the game today: Thank you for the code! It looks great on PS4! I am used to play WoWs on PC so, i hope i can make some suggestions: 1) X and O: I would prefer to accelerate with the more up Button (O), i did not find it how to change 2) On the map: I would like to see who and which ship is were (for example i would like to go to the human coplayers at the beginning, but it is hard to dedect them 2b) I am used to have shipinfos (player/ship) over every ship in sight. Now (Level 5) i just see the type, Only when i am focus a ship, i get all the infos. Again its hard to find the human players i want to join. Perhaps it is just my (standard) setting...

1 pointThere are some bugs which we're already squashing! Please familiarize yourself with this list, so you don't submit duplicates. If you encounter something new please use the "Report a bug" feature of this forum. User interface Returning to port from the results screen may take an extra second or two long Torpedo reload icon and and button tooltip are positioned too close together Players can still be invited into divisions even during battle (shouldn't be the case) When ship moves at a high speed some UI elements (ribbons and achievements) start to shake and blur Icons of destroyed ships "shake" on the minimap sometimes After moving backwards in a ships and then stopping the speed remains at a 0.2 knots value Noticeable lag when the ship progress window is open Recently added friends appearing after offline friends on the firendlist Online friends appearing in random order on the friendlist Clemson first main upgrade doesn't show what the improvements or detriments are Camera rotating independently of player input when targeting with torpedoes and sailing near isles Sound Torpedo reloading sounds keep on playing after the ship has been destroyed Controls Cross hairs move together with the "LS unlock guns" tooltip leaving their initial trajectory Cross hairs "twitching" up and down in binocular view 3D Buoys inside the battle map cause light reflections to appear outside the map border When in binocular view and aiming beyond the map border the aiming dot on the water shakes After getting destroyed player's ship model shakes General After continuously playing for 3-4 hours you may experience a crash, which is rectified by closing the game and relaunching it
